Spend Limits

Instead of setting limits based on how much our players deposit, tombola calculates them based on each player's net spend (deposits - withdrawals). This is called a Spend Limit.

Let's look at an example using our imaginary player 'TommyBola'.
TommyBola has a £50 personal Spend Limit in place. Previously this would have been the capped amount regardless of winnings.
1. TommyBola deposits £20, they now have £30 left of their £50 per week Spend Limit.
(£50 limit - £20 deposit = £30 remaining spend)

2. TommyBola’ wins £10 on bingoLite – well done winner!
'TommyBola' then decides to withdraw their £10 winnings.

3. Now 'TommyBola' can deposit up to £40 this week before reaching their limit.
(£50 limit - £20 deposit + £10 withdrawal = £40 remaining spend)

Do Spend Limits change anything else?
Spend Limits still come with some of the previous caps, including:
- A sitewide Net Deposit Limit of £300 per week/£1500 per month applies to all players.
- You can set a maximum Spend Limit of £300 per day/week or £1500 per month.
- Spend Limits can still be locked in place for up to 12 months, ensuring you stay within your budget.
When do limits reset?
To make it simple, limits run on a fixed calendar basis:
- Monthly limits reset on 1st of the month at 6am.
- Weekly limits reset on Mondays at 6am.
- Daily limits reset at 6am every day.
What are the different types of Spend Limits?
Set by you
- You can change this at any time.
- Decreases take effect instantly.
- Increases take 24-hours to become active. After the 24-hour period you will be asked to confirm the limit change when you next login. We cannot override the 24-hour period or make it shorter. If the increase comes into effect while you are logged in, you may have to log out and back to accept the increase.
Set by us.
Limits can be set by us in three ways:
- Our site wide limits – these apply to all accounts and are the maximum limit we allow on any tombola account
- Operator Limit, set by one of our agents – following a conversation with you or review of your account.
- Operator Limit, set Automatically – using a range of data including soft credit checks and your account information.
If you have more than one limit in place on your tombola account, the lower of the two amounts will apply.
